This infographic represents the statistics collected by the Center for Disease Control on suicide in 2014-2015. The graph displays that there are apparent disparities in race regarding reported thoughts of suicide. Those who reported themselves as “two or more races” were almost double the percentage of the second highest group, “American Indians/Alaskan Natives.”

Suicide accounts for one in four deaths among young people

I created this infograph using data from the Center for Disease Control collected in 2014-2015. It is to be noted that suicide is most prevalent among young people, ages 15-25. Colleges should be making an effort to spread awareness about suicide throughout campus.

Arizona to beat United States in suicide rates

This infographic includes statistics gathered by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on suicide rates from 2005-2014 in the United States compared to those in Arizona. The rate is per 100,000 individuals a year, showing that compared to the average in the country, Arizona is quite above it making it relevant to show there is an issue of suicide in the state that our research is focused on.
